Achaemenes - Two-headed Cattle Capital of Apadana Palace
Two-headed Cattle Capital of Apadana Palace in Shoosh is one of the capitals among 36 capitals of Apadana palace and it is a masterpiece of architecture in ancient time and the symbol of Achaemenes architecture. Apadana or Darius Palace was built in Darius period about 515 BC; its construction took about 30 years. The magnitude of the central hall of this palace is as great as it could contain 10000 gusts in it. Each column contains two-headed cattle capital, flower, bush, and fluted cylindrical stem, the only differences is related to the shape of columns' beneath.
Carpet (Persian rug)
The Pazyryk carpet or Pazyryk rug is one of the oldest carpets in the world, dating around 5BC. This square rug with 2 square meters dimension (183*210) has 36 knots in each centimeter, in the modern terminology it is also called "Turkish knot". The colors that were used in this rug are green, lateritious, dark red, blue, and brown. It was found 70 years ago near to Siberia. Now it is exhibited at the Hermitage Museum.
