In Qajar era, the simple lifestyle has changed; these developments were rooted in global changes on those days, which was the reflection of new urban lifestyle In Iran. In this era, this was the first time that constructions were made by custom maps. Qajar architecture is known as house building architecture. One of the most famous characteristics of those building was wall paintings with different subjects such as portraits, miniatures, and sceneries that covered all internal walls. The usage of colorful glasses was another main characteristic of Qajar architecture.
Carpet (Rug)
In Qajar era, the tendency to landscaping, nature, and phenomenon under the title of "depiction on carpet design" has become important that its importance was Unprecedented in previous eras. Carpet and rugs of those years is one of the best and finest artworks of Iran and it was the best garden visualization in the sense that its shapes became the symbol of heaven, which contained rivers, plants, and palaces.
In fact, Iran's carpet and garden are two ancient arts that bind together. Some shapes like flowers and birds in Iranian rugs are the sign of utilization of gardening in their designs. There are so many novel designs in Qajar rug weaving which made of some mixed geometric shapes.
